Sign on to the Interfaith Immigration Coalition Letter to the President and Congress
Over the last week, many member organizations in the Interfaith Immigration Coalition came together to craft this letter that will be sent to the President and to the Congress. Together, we expressed our concerns for the unaccompanied children and families fleeing violence in Central America and our frustrations with the way this humanitarian crisis has been handled. The Alliance was one of the original signatures on this letter.
Over the next week, please share this letter with your networks. Invite your faith communities, from your local place of worship, your faith-based ministries, and/or national faith partners, to also sign onto this letter.
Any group at the local, state, regional or national level are welcome to sign on, which they can do by clicking on this link: http://interfaithimmigration.org/uac-sign-on.
The deadline for endorsement is Thursday, July 17 at 5 pm EST.
On Friday, July 18, the Interfaith Immigration Coalition will share the letter once again with members of Congress and the President. The Interfaith Immigration Coalition hopes to show our elected officials that hundreds of faith groups across the country demand a moral approach to this humanitarian crisis.
