The Alliance of Baptists will celebrate our 30th anniversary on February 12, 2017!
We hope you will join us in celebrating through several opportunities in our 30th anniversary year!
- February 12: Alliance Day Churches around the country celebrate Alliance Day, marking the 30th anniversary! Litany, prayer and hymn available for worship.
- April 27: Why Baptist? At Meredith College, Raleigh, N.C. Why Baptist? We often answer that question with why we aren’t “that kind of Baptist.” What does it mean to remember why we ARE Baptist? We’ll tell stories of why we’re committed to our Baptist traditions, hear from our speakers about their expressions of Baptist-ness and discuss why we have hope in what Baptists can offer the world.
- April 28-30 Annual Gathering at Pullen Memorial Baptist Church, Raleigh, N.C. At this gathering, we will celebrate the good work of the Alliance in the world, while embracing ever more deeply, the challenging work of justice and love ahead of us. Collaborating with our host church Pullen Memorial Baptist Church and its annual Finlator Lecture in Faith and Social Justice series, we welcome William Barber and Naomi Tutu as two of our featured proclaimers. Kate Campbell will lead us in music.
As we celebrate our 30th anniversary, will you make a special gift to the Alliance?
