Hopkins, pastor of Lakeshore Avenue Baptist Church in
Oakland, CA, was elected president of the Alliance at
the Annual Meeting April 22.
Kristy Pullen from Ashburn, VA,
was elected vice president. |

| James Abbington, associate
professor of music at Candler School of Theology in Atlanta, and
former Alliance president John Ewing Roberts of Baltimore, MD.
James led the Saturday night convocation worship service through
a series of songs, many from the African-American tradition.

Stories of Faithfulness
Joyce Hollyday of Asheville, NC, weaved
together stories of faithfulness to racial reconciliation
in a three-part Covenant Address at the 2006 Convocation.
She used portions of stories that were submitted by
Alliance members.

board met April 20-21 prior to
the 2006 Convocation. Carl is associate pastor at Northminster Church in Monroe, LA, and Paul is music
